7月4日讯 在若塔因车祸离世后，曾经执教过他的葡萄牙教练丰塞卡更新了社交媒体，表达了自己的哀思之情。

丰塞卡写道：“今天是一个悲痛的日子。我的思绪与迪奥戈的家人同在。”

“我们失去了一位非凡的人。他的诚实、谦逊、朴实和才华是我们所有人的榜样。你将永远活在我们心中。”

丰塞卡在2014/15赛季担任葡超球队费雷拉的主帅，而若塔在2014年到2016年期间也在费雷拉一线队效力，在丰塞卡手下完成职业生涯首秀。
